All that remains of the last day at Queenstown. I looked out the window and it was snowing! Quel cadeau alors la dernière journée! Even though the snow was not staying on the ground, would see much more later in the day.
Went for a walk to Frankton by the lake which was beautiful
the day even cleared a little with the sun shining just for the time I was walking so the snow capped mountains were quite visible. Such extraordinary beauty especially with the extra snow the last few days.
Bus back to Queenstown and then to take the gondola up to Skyline. This took quite a deal of courage as after yesterday was sure that with the ice and snow the gondola would fall a few hundred metres and what destiny has not managed to do yesterday would be accomplished today. Fears unfounded.
But what a magnificent Winter wonderland was to be found there with so much snow covering the trees and ground.
Stayed there for a couple of hours taking photos and writing. Wonderful end to my holidays, and certainly made up for yesterday.
One shall certainly return and hopefully not in the too distant future.
